In the unlikely event that the DJ is unable to attend, we have backup DJ and equipment ready to ensure your event goes on without a hitch. We prioritise reliability and have contingency plans in place to handle any unexpected situations, so you can have peace of mind knowing your event is in good hands.
-
Yes — we can play specific songs and avoid tracks you don’t want. When you book a DJ with Total Vibe, tell us the must-play anthems, special first-dance tracks, or songs tied to key moments. Equally important, give us a do-not-play list (for example, ex-partner songs, overplayed hits, or genres you dislike) and we’ll respect it.
How it works
Before the event we’ll send a quick music-planning form or discuss choices during your run‑through.
We’ll confirm your must-play list and do-not-play list, and integrate them into the set plan.
On the night, the DJ follows your requests while reading the room to keep energy high. If you want strict adherence, let us know and we’ll prioritise your list over on-the-fly requests.
Tips
Prioritise 10–20 must-play songs for key moments (walk-ins, first dance, cake cutting).
Keep do-not-play lists concise and clear — artists, song titles or genres help.
If you have special versions or explicit/clean preferences, tell us in advance.
We tailor the music to your vibe while ensuring your event runs smoothly and respectfully to your music choices.

We are more than happy to take song requests from you and your guests during the event. We ensure these requests fit within the overall vibe and flow of the event.

Item dThe music never stops. We run a professional "Fail-Safe" setup. Every gig includes a redundant backup system: two independent USB drives and a secondary audio device (phone/iPad) patched into the mixer and ready to fire at the touch of a button. If a laptop freezes, we can switch to the backup in under 5 seconds. We also carry spare XLR and power cables for every set—because "dead air" isn't a vibe.escription

We’re here for the energy, but we have zero tolerance for verbal or physical abuse toward our DJs. In line with Australian WHS standards, the DJ has the right to pause or terminate the set if they feel unsafe or if guests interfere with the equipment. If a set is cancelled due to guest behavior, no refund will be issued. Let’s keep it respectful so the party keeps pumping.

Occasionally, yes! We capture "candid" shots of the decks and the dancefloor for our Instagram & website. By booking with us, you agree to allow us to capture and share content for promotional use. If your event is high-privacy or you’d prefer we keep the cameras off, just let us know in writing before the gig and we’ll strictly respect your privacy
